it's a name given to Mumbai film industry in lines of Hollywood. In india films made in Mumbai (earlier Bombay) got name from Bo*mbay*+llywood. Likewise tollywood for tamil movies and Lollywood for movies made in Lahore Pakistan.
Bollywood is one of the largest movie making indusrry with highest viewership in world! Tho it's not techno like Hollywood but surely it's movies are improving these days and will be on world scale soon.
