I think you're half right. I think Culpepper might be an improvement over Kitna, so I think the Lions should look into picking him up so he and Kitna could have an open competition to be the starting QB. I think that would be a smart move.
However, I think you're wrong about the Bills. Don't laugh, but I think JP Losman is poised for a breakout year. Take a hard look at his stats and performance, and you'll see that he seems like the classic case of a QB who is just at the point where the little light has gone on in his head and he's ready to put up good numbers.
I think the team that needs Culpepper the most might be the Raiders. I don't think Russell is ready to play yet, and Josh McCown isn't horrific, but he isn't going to win you many games, either. With Culpepper, at least you have that upside and you can hope that he returns to 2004 form.
Honestly, I think the Raiders are a better destination for Culpepper than the Lions because I think Culpepper has trouble picking up complicated offenses, and Martz's offense might be too complex for him. Culpepper does better when you break it down for him and make it really simple so he can take advantage of his great athleticism without having to think too much.

It is because Culpepper doesn't fit in their organization. See a year ago he would have been fine for both teams but know no. Because the Bills want to give J.P Losman a chance because his career is still delovping and he didn't do horrible last season. The Bills still believe in Losman there for they don't want to get a quarterback like that, that will take over the job. True they did draft Trent Edwards but it is insurance if Losman turns out bad. There is no room for Culpepper. Also the Detroit Lions are a team alike. A year ago would have been fine. However because of the lions acquiring Kitna Marrinelli really likes him so he would not replace him with anybody else. Also the Lions have a quarterback future in them all set up. When Kitna is gone Marrinelli will have two quarterbacks with alot of experience in there high pass offense. Dan Orlosky and Drew Stanton will compete for the starting job after Kitna. And if the Lions tossed Culpepper in their all you would have is an Injury Prone player that is very unaware from the offense. Kitna would play better in Culpepper in the offense because he knows it alot better. Therefore Culpepper couldn't fit there. The best place for Culpepper to go is teams like: the Chiefs, back to the Vikings, and the Texans. All those teams could use a QuarterBack like Culpepper. His best option is to go back to the Vikings what a stupid idea to leave them. It may have costed him his career.

I think because the Bills and Lions believe they have good QBs. Bills Losman showed some potential last season to lead them to 7-9 or 8-8 something like that. And for the Lions, even though Kitna was sacked more than 60 times, he still threw for over 4,000 yards. And both teams drafted QBs this year. Drew Stanton 2nd, Lions, Trent Edwards, 3rd Bills. Also. I don't see a good fit in Lions because Off Cord. Martz always had pocket QBs. And Bills Losman is still young. Lastly, Culpepper isn't going to start in these teams.

I do not think he willl be traded instead he wil be released like Danute Culpepper requested. A few places how could go to is the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I could see the Cleveland Browns signing Culpepper to play the early part of the season. But I think it is very unlikely because he will cost too much money and I do not think they even need him. The Chicago Bear need a solid quarterback. But I do not think that they will sign Culepper. Rex will have a more consistent year and lead Chicago to another division title. Tampa Bay have already made to many attempts in the off-season to get quarterbacks. With Jeff Garcia, and Jake Plummer (who probably will not play). There is no doubt Garcia is that teams quarterback. So it will come down to the Detroit Lions and the Baltimore Ravens. The Lions will sign him. It will come down who will want him more. The Ravens are happy with McNair and the Lions need a quarterback. With a quarterback that can throw a deep ball I can see the Lions contending for a .500 record

Bottomline, Culpepper has an injured knee. Teams are very cautious about injuries and investing money in a player that is currently injured or has a history. He basically has been out of football for almost 2 years. He didn't finish his last season in Minnesota, and only played a handful of games in Miami. Daunte's age plays a factor also. At this point he will be nothing more than a back up, unless an injury comes up. Raiders are actually a great fit for him to be a back up if Russell does not perform right away or gets hurt.

I think the Raiders would be a good fit for Culpepper. Let him start and let him tutor Russell. A win/win situation for the Raiders and Culpepper.
As for the Lions and Bills, they have confidence in the guys they have.
I could see Duante being a success in Detroit more than I could see him succeed in Buffalo. Detroit would be the better situation but just don't see it happening, they have Kitna their for now, and he will groom Stanton to take over. Millen is set on this.
And Buffalo has too much invested in JP to bring Culpepper in to start over him. They have high hopes that JP will step it up even more this year, which he should.

Bills have a lot invested in Losman and Millen needs the Lions to have a winning season this year; signing Culpepper at this point would upset team chemistry after Kitna had a decent year and is in tune with his receivers.
Culpeppper thinks he should get starting QB money along with a starting job; this is why my team passed on him.
I think he's a system QB anyway: average even when healthy--which he's not

Jon Kitna threw for over 4000 yards last season and J.P Losman is an upcoming star Daunte Culpepper ruined his career leaving Minesota I would say the best job he can have is a backup job or a temporary staring job in Oakland

Well Daunte isnt the same quarterback he was with the vikings, We must remember he had a engerized Randy Moss to make alot of plays for him. Also the bills really dont need him. JP Losman is improving and Jon Kitna is in an excellent system with Mike Martz. The rookie were drafted just to push them and also in case one of them goes down. They can see what they drafted. Culpepper just wants to go to a team honestly and just play it isnt about the money, its all about showing people he can still play the game of football so at this point he will go anywhere he is needed.

I don't recall Daunte Culpepper bailing out his defense and gunning the winning touchdown pass into the back of endzone as time expires. I don't recall him consistently making good decisions under pressure. I recall him choking. We're done with chokers, we've got a winner under a center. His name may seem oxymoronic to you, but in Buffalo, Losman means wins. Culchoker can choke somewhere else. I'm sure Lions fans are the same way.
