Sure, it's easy to do if your car keys are on the house keychain; most people's are.
If you have a doorknob lock, lock it, then shut the door while leaving your keys on the kitchen table, and then you go to your locked car outside, you have accomplished both.

Been there; done that.

Yes both at once! I had just been on a 90 kilometre cycle ride in the winter and arrived home to find I had no keys to get in my house and had to sit outside in 3 degree temps for 2 hours before my wife got home. PAIN! If I had car keys I could have got in and turned the heater on!

No I wasn't into doping! But I was a dope!

I locked myself out of the house before, I've locked my roommate out of the house before. We had to break into our own house once, but we finally learned and always make sure we have a set of house keys when we leave..

When I first purchased a car of my own, I was 4ever locking myself out of it. It was something new to me, and it took me a while 2 get used 2 it. I had to call AAA more than 3x's. Since then I have gotten better.
I have never locked myself out of the house. I so know people who have done so. I always tell them to never leave home without their key. One should always b aware of what's important 2 them.

I did in my SUV when I had it, but I could open the back sliding window with a hanger...it was hard to reach the back door after, but it could be done. I was at my parents house when I did that.
I once locked myself out of my house (I had the house key off of the car key-chain for some reason). But, when I went to break into my house I accidentally broke the window with my hand, because my dog jumped up on me and it pushed my hand through. My neighbor had to take me to the hospital to get stitches...That one was hard to explain to the doctors.

Yes as a kid I always left my keys at home because one of my siblings would be home. Rarely, everyone was out. Luckily, it was always Spring or Summer.
Car once or twice as a 20 something-tired from work and school. I gave my Dad a spare and he'd come open it for me.Lol

Both, but never at the same time... Once I was putting something in the trunk of my car and layed my keys down inside the trunk... I had to take the back seat out to get my keys...
