Yes, but I also pity them...I pity them because they think so little of themselves that they believe they couldn't think something up on their own, and I pity them because they are so stupid they thought you wouldn't notice. However, don't despise them...they are not worth that much emotion. Simply "out them" when you see them posting something without giving the proper credit...the subculture of poetry is far too small a place for someone like this to hide and the truth will always carry the day. When something like this happens, don't just say "this person on GaiaOnline.com", tell us who it is so we can all watch them for you.

No way!!! In my perfect world, you would be put into jail for stealing other people's property!!!! It's happened to me before, however the stuff that was stolen was expensive!!!? You should ask him/her politely if you could have your poem back but add that you would be delighted to help them write there OWN (even if you don't want to). -Hanna

Despise is too strong a word. I would be annoyed and would report them as you did. They didn't earn any money off it, they just wanted to appear more important though writing--it's a little sad and pathetic really.
Glad you caught the person sorry for your aggravation.

ahhhhh---the fine art of plagarism.
i remember back then i used do do a bit of that.
now don't get me wrong- i don't do it any more. i was caught. talk to her and see what kind of person she is. if she's a good person than you should forgive and forget like all my friends did on this site.
you may hate her now but after a while hate can tear you apart.

I'm not trying to sound superior or anything, but if your poetry was as bad as mine, no one would steal it. I know, I know, that's not the point.
Sorry about your piece.

Yeah I would if I found out that anybody did do that. But I'm not really sure if it would be that strong. Good for you sticking up for yourself though.

I find it hard to stay angry at people with such good taste ;-)

Who wouldn't? They can steal it, because that means that they like it, but claiming it as their own is...well...I'll definitely explode.
