Intellectual concepts can be divided into two categories, physical and metaphysical. The metaphysical category would contain concepts like: truth, beauty, love, friendship, and soul. The physical category contains things like: mass, distance, time, force, entropy, temperature, etc. Never the twain shall meet. Unfortunately, the word energy which has a definite physical meaning when used by engineers and scientists is also used in everyday speech to talk about such things as how "peppy" we feel and other non physical concepts. Physical laws such as the conservation of energy do not transfer over to any of the metaphysical concepts that the word energy is sometimes associated with.

PS: I found a typo when I ran the spell check on the above. I highly recommend its use.

That's a simplistic description of one of the conservation laws of physics. Matter and energy are conserved, but you can convert one to the other.

The soul (spirit) of a man is eternal, so it's probably conserved better than energy. It's entirely possible that, before the creation of the universe (the big bang), there was no matter or energy. I don't think we have any way of knowing whether the spirit of a man existed before the father's sperm joined with the mother's egg. In a manner of speaking, the mother and father are 'creating' (bringing into existence) a new soul.

First you'd have to prove that the 'soul' exists. Of course, before that you'd have to establish what a 'soul' IS. Some think it's an sort of 'shadow' body that coexists with your normal body. Others think it's an essence that has no form and exists on a parallel plane of reality and only connects to you through your mind. Others think it's nonsense! If it does exist and is a type of energy then yes, it would continue, though no necessarily in its original form, it may be like a drop of water returning to the ocean.

Soul music has a lot of energy yes, although at the same time it can be quite cruisey and mellow.
Its created by musicians and its only destroyed when the fire of passion in our hearts for rhythm and soulful melody is quenched.

Soul is not a physical thing. It is an imaginary concept that exists only in people's minds. Since it is imaginary, it has whatever properties you believe it has. It can be conserved, or not. It can be green, or some other color. It can have mass, or it can be massless. It's up to you.

Energy can be created and destroyed:
E = mc^2

Energy into mass, mass into energy.

Thus, according to your hypothesis, souls can be destroyed.
