Alexander led his armies through the exact same terrain in Gedrosia and Ariaspi (present day northern Iran), Hindu-Kush and Bactria (Afghanistan/Pakistan) from 333 to 326 BC (partly in pursuit of Darius III). He had no satellites, no intelligence (apart from the kind that came from his brain!), no advanced weaponry, yet he still found Darius's body. And when he did and realized that Darius's own men had killed him, he looked for and found all of Darius's generals hiding in the same place as Osama is supposed to be, and killed them (again, with no "intelligence", satellites, advanced weaponry).

So it beats the hell out of me, if Alexander could do that in the third century BC, why we can't do it now.

We haven't made crossing the border a triathlon yet so it's possible. Once we get that grand ole fence its just gonna solve every border issue ever because illegals don't build tunnels or do any 1,000 other things to cross the border.
