I think if a lot of people pick your answer as best and a lot of people are your fans.
And plus if people talk about you in questions - but I guess that's if you are really popular.
I'm not popular though so I don't know.

I wouldn't really know, but I think you're popular if you have a lot of fans/contacts & you get a lot of nice, positive answers.

well, now there's a few ways one could tell
1) people ask questions about you
2) people ask questions based off of answers you have given
3) any time a "which PSer is your fave blah blah blah" and you show up several times as other peoples answers
4) you are constantly cloned
5) people quote your comments that you give to your best answers pick

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing if you get lots of answers and stars, it means that people recognize you and like you.
