I may agree with some things that they say but I dont worship them like some people do.

That's rather broad, can you please give an example or provide a link to an article? And do you mean 'prophet' instead?
OK, I think I see what you're saying now. Yes, it seems there are some who hang on every word someone says rather than examine the information and make up their own mind. Using your example, the other side of that coin is when people will say they think global warming is all BS because they don't like Al Gore. Both viewpoints are extremes and keep people from looking at information critically and making up their own mind on the issues. Hope that helps.

Prophets? Well, that's another story. They want to be seen as great leaders. It's part an ego thing and part because, sadly, many people are sheeple and fall for it and vote for them...
