(-3a²)³ = - 27 a^6
(-a³)³ = - a^9
4a³ = 64a³
Numerator = 27 x 64 x a^18
Denominator = 8a^9
N/D = 27 x 8 x a^9 = 216 a^9

Expand it out. Remember that in a term such as
-3a^2 cubed, the COEFFICIENT and the a^2 part of the term are cubed. So you would have
-3*-3*-3*a^2*a^2*a^2=- 27a^6.
Just do this with all 3 other terms, and you should have no problems.

1st: get rid of the exponents, any exponent raised to an exponent you multiply.
(-3a^2)^3 = -27a^6
(-a^3)^3 = -a^9
(4a)^3 = 64a^3
(2a^3)^3 = 8a^9

2nd: multiply the top out.
(-27)*(64) = -1728
(a^6)*(-a^9)*(a^3) = -a^162
(-1728)*(-a^162) = 1728a^162.

3rd: Divide
1728 / 8 = 216
a^162 / a^9 = a^153, when you divide exponents you actually subtract.

Final Answer: 216a^153

(-9 a^5)(-3a^6)(12a^4) = 324 a^15/6a^6=54a^9
You multiply the coeffiecient by the exponent and then add the exponents. to Divide you subtract exponents.
Hope this help -- and is correct.
