If a singer looses his voice what position would he best fit?

If Justin Timberlake couldn't sing, he would take the position of counselor to Britney Spears, and listen to her express her sorrows about not being able to sing....and when she was done on the couch she would reverse roles with Justin and then she would be his counselor and listen to his regrets about never breaking into show business.
Maybe that's why their relationship didn't work. They probably got tired of being two no-talent performers that were always complaining to each other about never being respected for their skills, or lack of. :)
