You asked in another question about a good beach and said you and hubby were headed out today to go.
Try Crystal Beach. Take the free ferry from Galveston to the Bolivar Peninsula. There you will find 32 miles of beach to drive on.
When you get off the ferry, you will be on Highway 87. Go east about ten miles to the stoplight at Crystal Beach Rd. Turn right and that puts you at the "Zoo". It is a little wilder than the rest of the beach.
Just past the stoplight, on the left you will see Parker Lumber. Turn left there and take that street (Bayvue Rd) to the end. There you will find Steve's Landing Seafood Restaurant.
Great seafood with a Cajun flair.
Take the time to drive all the way to Rollover Pass. Great for fishing and quieter beaches.

Two other seafood places to try are the Red Onion, Seafood y mas, and across the freeway from it, Red Onion. All their other food is fantastic. I'm not a seafood person, but if they do seafood half as good as their other foods and desserts, it'll be a great experience.

Pesce for expensive but worth it, Goode's Seafood for middle ground & the seafood places across from the Airline Farmer's Market ( like Golden's) for cheap but good.
For Sushi; Oishii (a hidden treasure!)

Ask in the Dining Out section (Home > Dining Out > United States > Houston). Lots more people there who know about that thing.
As for me, I'm allergic.

Drive 45 minutes to Galveston and go to Gaido's. You won't regret it. Well worth the drive. Get the pecan pie for dessert.

Papadeaux's and Babins. There are several locations throughout the city and you will be VERY happy with anything you get from either. They also both have a more "cajun" taste.
