You cannot get paid for someone clicking on a link to your site.
You can pay Google (Adwords) to advertise your site or you can display ads on your own site (Adsense) that will generate income for you if people click on them.

I'd be rich of I could get people to click on my site, it's educational on diversity and equal opportunities. I'd be rich. Unfortunately, no, you cannot get paid but learn how many hits you have had on your site.

Just copy and paste the link you want to send to somebody thru e mail I presume. When he open his mail, he can click on that link and he can open that site.
