No. But after my family's rejection, I have found a number of people that I consider my surrogate family....

(and who is it that decided you are normal? Normal's not any fun... haha ) :-) bbjo.

I am not adopted but I have known families that have adopted children. I think it is so wonderful that when given the chance a family takes a child into their home and adopts them. There are alot of children that are not as fortunate as you and I am so happy to hear that things are going great for you. I cannot imagine how difficult it was for you to have 7 different families. Family after family and not knowing when it would end. You seem very disciplined and looking back on your answers to questions it sounds like you have a great head on your shoulder. I am so proud to see that your life is going in the direction that you want it to. You certainly have shown people that in tough times there still is a light at the end of the corner. Maybe one day you can donate your time for Big Brothers, the YMCA or become a foster parent yourself. You certainly have empathy for people that have the same interest at hand.

No, but my mom gave up a child for adoption before I was born. She told me when I was 16 and thanks to some strong determination ... I found him. That was one of THE best days of my life.

And I think you turned out quite normal for going through that! I am glad you said you have a sense of humor, too because that isn't always the case! I have never been adopted, but have been an "adopter". Anytime my students are down or having problems at home they come hang out with me. I have loved that so much that I am now going through the county process to either be a foster mom or adopt a child who is alone. Only, once I bring one home ... I won't be changing my mind. They'll be here to stay ~ no matter what! =)

I've lived in 22 different places in the last 18 years, barely had time to have any friends, and was home schooled by schizophrenic mother, who refused to take her meds, for eight years, I drooped out of high school, the only thing I was adopted by was crazy.
So you must be about as half as crazy as I am, huh, you can't be to bad then.

I gave my daughter up for adoption. But I chose the family.

I'm just going by what my family said.....that I was born in a little gray house in Pa. My brother almost got to see my birth! So, I guess I wasn't adopted.

I was adopted. I was 5 when I found out. I understood why my mother gave me up (she was blind) but it still didn't hurt any less.
