You might have problems with the iPod method, not because of the different operating systems, but the way that they format the iPod. Mac OS X uses HFS+, while Windows uses FAT32. Mac OS X can read FAT32, but Windows cannot read HFS+. So you
would need to either format the iPod in Windows, or use an alternative method, like burning the files to a CD / DVD.

here's your answer. put all the music from your pc onto your ipod. once your library from your pc is fully on the ipod, go to your mac and download a free program called "senuti" from freemacware.com . plug the ipod into the mac. when itunes opens up and asks if you want to erase and sync, click NO. open up senuti on the mac while ipod is plugged in and highlight all the songs in the box (click one song in the box and press APPLE+A to highlight ALL). then click COPY at the top right of the Senuti box. all the music off your ipod will be transferred into your MUSIC folder on your mac. highlight all those folders in the MUSIC folder and drag them into the itunes library. email me if you have trouble.

Yeah senuti is the easiest way to go. My sister has an iPod that is synced with a PC, I used senuti to get her music onto my Mac from her iPod with no problems.
