Read the newpaper and listen to the news. Horrible things happen often to many families even when they do their best to protect their children. My daughter was molested by a neighbor's son when she was 5(5 years ago). It has created a huge distrust of allowing anyone near my kids even if i know you.
So try to think of it in another way- maybe something bad has happened to them to cause her distrust. Just smile politely and keep on going.

Usually because they have done something they wish they didn't or have had a bad experience with certain things and want to keep their children safe and not have them face the same mistakes they did. But I know sometimes the kids with parents who are WAY over protective usually are "pushed" into doing exactly what their parents tried so hard to keep them doing in the first place. It needs to be balanced better in a lot of situations. Parents just want to keep their children safe. It's understandable, but I can see how that would make you feel since YOU wouldn't have done something. But there are people who would have and we never know who that person is

A parent in this day and age have so many more things to worry about than the young parents of 20 or 30 years ago. There is no one that you can trust these days. It is very hard as a parent to allow a child to "test the waters" because of the risk of there being SEVERE consequences involved.

Honey, try not to take it personally. When you are a parent you'll better understand. For now, as a parent, let me just say that all of the crime, hate, sin & perversion so rampant in our world today becomes magnified the minute they place your baby in your arms. You realize all the things you must protect her from & it seems overwhelming. We read of very young kids being kidnapped, raped, prostituted, used for child pornography, on & on & on. We have to be guarded. The kids are innocent & don't realize what a sick & twisted society we live in. I don't want to have to tell my kids about it at such a young age so that leaves me in the position of always being on the lookout. It's a natural, God-given instinct.

In this day and age, it's the parents who aren't there, or don't care, that worry me more. Let them be overprotective. That's a whole lot better than letting their children run wild.

Cause better she bare her teeth, so to speak, than look around five minutes later to see her child has been snatched away.
It's a dangerous world we live in, and as a parent, it's their job to protect their children. It's hard to really blame them.
Unfortunate but true.

It's human nature. Plus animals are the same. Be thankful that you were not between a mother bear and her cub. You wouldn't be here to ask this question.

ok, it is what happens. a million. the babies who stay in a kinfolk the place regulations are not so, strict will improve up with some what of a information of existence because of the fact, they have been allowed to be themselves. 2. on the different hand with mom and father who do no longer enable their little ones tho be themselves it helps them to revolt against society on the 1st risk they are going to get. this is because of the fact, they're afraid of their mom and father and what they are going to do to them in the event that they ended up even thinking approximately getting out of line. 3. in basic terms because of the fact, you improve up in a kinfolk the place there's no longer not often any regulations you will lose interest and lonely quite at as quickly as because of the fact, you haven't any longer have been given any regulations so, there for you have have been given Anarchy on your palms and a newborn who's rebelling against you? Why? I mean is it because of the fact, your the only that tells them in spite of, you desire, to eat bypass forward and get it? that's the place you went incorrect top there. mom and father could desire to be strict at cases to no longer strict yet, although... Strict adequate so, that a newborn has a adequate information of what they could desire to do in existence and how they are able to realize something in the event that they positioned their minds to it. 4. finally, i think that fogeys who're overly shielding of their little ones could desire to dropping up slightly and permit their babies to enhance up end demanding so, lots approximately what's going to ensue with them. in case you have faith them then good that's all you're able to do is have faith them. adequate with procuring a 12 year previous a cellular telephone they have have been given a pal who has a house telephone top? do no longer purchase them a telephone that's a waste of money and their unlikely to be procuring the invoice in any case besides... the only human beings I see having a telephone if something could be like, a sixteen or 17 year previous in the event that they're driving that's that if no longer then screw it. because of the fact, you would be dropping your no longer ordinary earned money on what? so, that Billy can text textile Tiffany? on the age of 12? Come on now that's stupid in basic terms enable them to apply their acquaintances living house telephone and end with this nonsense of procuring for them issues each and every time, they choose them.

Because there are so many kidnappers and pedophiles in the world. You really can't trust anyone who you don't truly know. It's awful. She's was protective because she loved him and wanted him to live a long, happy life.

because parents, at least most, care about their kids. They have to work overtime in this society to protect. I have four, so I know.
