That's true, not to tense up during an injection / shot.
It's good to take nice long breaths when you get a shot, this prevents you from tensing. I would ask the nurse or doc., if they're gentle (this always helps).

Yes, because when your tensed your muscles automatically stiffen and the pressure from outside to give you a shot also automatically increases.
Therefore less stiff muscles mean less pressure and less pain. Everything is relative.

I belive so, whenever I get a shot I keep my head turned away, my arm relaxed and thing about something else. It seems to help.

I think it you tense up it hurts more. I don't think about it. I just hum a song or something and with my doc you can barely tell she did it.

yeah, just relax. you'll hardly even notice you got a shot if you stay relaxed and not think about it.

yah its true once wen i was lil i had to get a shot in my behing and i tenced up and i had a bruise on my buttox ( sorry if it was tmi)
