Virtual manufacturers and the carpet industry?

Hello I was wanting to find out about Virtual manufacturers. I understand that often manufacturers in China, manufacture products import them into the USA and then rebrand them under their own company. Is this correct?

Does anyone know any virtual manufacturers in the carpet industry and have some information on them?
