I am really interested in starting my own small business, specifically a laundromat. I wanted to know what it really takes to start one of these businesses and would like to hear your opinions or experiences. Thanks!

My uncle had one attached to a bowling alley in a small town. They are more work than they look like, you have to keep the machines repaired, clean the building and machines and cash in the coins. You will probably want to close at night and you could get vandalism of the coin changers and things. People will dye clothes in the machines and wash things to filthy for home machines like greasy overalls and sand filled shoes. Some will leave clothes in the machines and never come back so you need to store them 30 days then dispose of them.
Of course first you need to get a building, business license, install a huge water boiler and all the machines. Consider offering was wash and fold service also.
