If you are 15 and pregnant I would be very careful about involving the law...especially if your boyfriend is older than you.

Stay with your parents, get some help, and take good care of that baby!

You have to go through the process of emancipation. Which means you have to be at least 15.

There are only three valid reasons for emancipation; one being you’re enlisting in the military, you’re getting married before you turn 18, which requires parental consent, and the third done so by a court order from a judge.

Since your case is the latter of the three, you have to plea your case to a judge and present your compelling reason why you want to be emancipated. And no judge in his or her right mind would emancipate you to move in with your boyfriend. In order to do this legally, there have to be dangerous conditions at home.

Because you’re pregnant child services will get involved and they could potentially investigate your parents to see what’s up. So more or less, it would be up to the social worker that evaluates your circumstances and presents them to the judge. If you can convince them you pretty much have the cat in the bag.

If your boyfriend is over 18, your pretty much looking at your case denied. Oh and they will arrest your boyfriend for statutory rape, even if they consented it is a federal crime for someone 18 or older to have sex with a minor, no matter the circumstances.

I sure as hell hope you know what you are doing with this. Cause it doesn’t seem like you have done your homework. That kid needs a home, not you and your boyfriend shacked up together. And there's no guarantee if he would stick around or not. Hopefully you will be smart about this and that you're not making a naive choice.

I am pretty sure that Kentucky doesn't have an emancipation law exactly. I am trying to remember what the age of consent and marriage is but i believe it is 16 in Kentucky. I know ohio is 16 for consent and marriage and then the husband is basically like a custodial parent when they get married since even when you are emancipated or married as a minor you still can't do anything like drink, buy cigarettes or go to an adult movie or anything.

You would have to go in front of a judge and show that you are mature enough to take care of yourself. You also have to have just cause to be emancipated from your parents , abuse , etc etc. Being pregnant doesn't help this at all. In fact most judges will not grant you emancipation because you are 15 and pregnant. Emancipation is not so that you can move out with a boyfriend or girlfriend. It is there to help teenagers in situations that are unhealthy for them. You have to show some big time matureity and being pregnant at 15 is not one of them. Sorry

You are not an adult and although you may think you know it all right now, you don't. Unless the situation in your home is dangerous, stay there where you will have help with the baby and the emotional support you'll need once the baby arrives.
The very best thing would be for you to put the baby up for adoption to an intact loving home.
A baby needs a loving family, where the mom and dad have a committed loving relationship, where vows have real meaning and the baby has a future with them.
Please reconsider, for the baby's sake.

You can't move out until you are 16 and even then it's hard unless you agree to get married and your parents are willing to consent to you getting married. However most judges won't emancipate teenagers so you'll probably have to wait until you are eighteen to move in with your boyfriend.

Unless your parents are abusive and have abandoned you I agree that you need to stay at home. If you find yourself in a situation that encompasses the above then I would take steps to ensure that you are self sufficient, job, good work habits, savings, goals...you'll need those types of things for court documentation.

Again I recommend staying at home, no need to rush it. You will want your mothers help when the baby comes.

In most states as soon as a girl gives birth she is legally emancipated, but check your laws in your state. Go to www.ask.com and check for emancipation laws in your state.

According to the site below there is no emanciapation law in KY. Since you are a minor the father can be charged with statutory rape.
