you had to ask.

Yes I do.

I think we're bullies (occupy a country here, occupy a country there) and hypocritical (what? we can have nuclear weapons but other countries can't?).

We don't always take care of our own - people hungry and living in the streets when blocks away is lavish extreme wealth.

However, we have so many good points. We have opportunities and freedoms other countries don't have.

Our court system, as bogged down as it is, is more fair than other countries. We have laws that do protect the minority and there are check and balances in our government. It's a shame our forefathers didn't create a government that necessitated more than two political parties, but the balance in the House of Representatives and the Congress seems to work pretty well in keeping one party from running the entire government and forcing laws and policies that would remove freedoms.

As for our economy - while free enterprise isn't the perfect system, it's better than some countries have, and it does allow for competition which creates progress and new inventions.

We don't have the inclusive health care and equal educational opportunities that Canada has, but the US tries hard, and there are politicians pushing to close the divide between our rich and our poor, which is much needed.

As shameful as some of our actions are, I am glad to be an American.

Absolutely yes. Thank goodness my ancestors came here when they did. I love the part about Freedom of Speech and the whole Bill of Rights. I love being able to worship in the Religion of my choice. I love the country and the beautiful parks and sites. I love the regional cooking and how much fun it is to meet people from different parts of the US.

Yes I love my Country.

Very much. I am a proud Canadian. I chose this country and have lived here
since 1963, most of my life and would never want to go back. I don't know
too many people over there now.

YES! Because I'm free! Some people jsut don't think about others and how they're slaves or work for nothing. We still work for nothing, but atleast I'm free. I aint got to be chained up and be a slave! I'm free! Some people don't have the provelage! Some people don't appreciate being free. I know it's over populated and some of the people in it are stupid and bad, but I appreciate and love being free!

It depends, I hate the government because of the way they treat the citizens and I hate the people because they let the government treat them like that. But all the same, I still love it!

Yes, I love my country. I don't love the way it's being run right now.

Yes, I do love America. What I don't like is the people who hate America because they don't like the president or the way things are being run. Do you stop loving someone just because you don't like something they're doing?
