Why Do Liberal Democrats Think War Is A Joke, Big Joke?

They will do anything to help the enemy kill our troops.

I have seen liberal democrats on TV talking about the deaths with a "gleam" in their eye. They look forward to more deaths just to bad mouth Republicans. They don't care about the troops.

I can respect someone who hates war...and is too weak to realize that it is sometimes necessary.

But one who would use honored dead for animosity against another *american* political party...well...that is evil.

EDIT: Okay. What you've added there...personally I haven't seen. I'm sure there are some idiots so driven by greed that they are just looking for an excuse to hate the opponent, which is just stupid. But that doesn't mean all liberal democrats think that way. It doesn't even mean they think that way...they just see it as advantageous to their argument. Which isn't right either--but I can't see how anyone would honestly want our troops dead just to help their cause.

Personally, I am pretty liberal in my beliefs and I know how much the deaths of troops impact people. I know someone who had to shoot a man in front of his twelve-year-old son. I see no justification in that. I understand that there are people who will use this as an argument to fight for their side--which i guess I can see where they're coming from at least in that respect. But I don't believe anyone except complete idiots and lunatics would see war as a joke or hope for our men and women to be killed.

If you believe that then I feel sorry for you.
The democrats are the only ones speaking up for our troops.
They care about their lives.
The republicans don't because they are in denial. The war is wrong, was wrong, and will always be wrong.
I'm very upset with the democrats for not doing more to bring our troops home where they belong.
It's either that or they need to advocate for reinstating the draft. If this war is so important then we need more people fighting. That my friend is caring about the troops!

Well if you would listen you would see that isn't true. I think you see what you want to see and in this case it isn't correct. If Liberals thought that the war is a big joke they wouldn't be trying to get out of it would they? The fact is they don't like the war and want to bring out troops home, safely.

Let me state for the record that a great number of us "liberal Democrats" have served honorably in some extremely, deadly serious wars !! And, not knowing from whence you derive your particular warped butt viewpoint on this matter -- I would say -- consider the source !!
I served MY time at war in Vietnam and I can assure you that I have about as close a concept of war and all of its "unfunny" ingredients as any other human breathing God's air !!!
And, another thing I find UNFUNNY is the way you neocons label everything that is different from your own concepts as somehow "lunatic" at the core !! As if .............
But, I will hand it to you -- something that a lot of us DO find funny (and not in a humorous way) is how the current President can continue a "war" with no concept of an endgame and still talk of "victory" in it !!!

what party controls the abode ? all expenses start up interior the abode. to make concerns worse what use to be a uncommon element (filibuster) and with that forcing a great majority of 60 votes on rattling close to each little thing, the Republicans aka the minority party interior the Senate. has set information in making use of the (filibuster) so even while the republicans are actually not controlling all 3 branches of government they're nevertheless F -ing it up.

They are natural born hypocrits. They want us to lose Iraq to the insurgents. They want us to lose Afghanistan to the Taliban. They want to free the Guantanamo inmates; many of whom are mass murderers.

Bush sent troops in without any plans for post war Iraq. Bush sent troops with shortened/truncated trainings, extended their tour duties so they can increase troop level in Iraq. And Democrats tried giving troops more time at home, tried to put limit on lengths of each tour. Whose killing who here?
