All of my 30 + years Japan has produced the better Car.
As a child my dad could never afford one.

I have had American cars in the past and they have been great, but once the engine wears it becomes noisey and breaks down more common then Japanese cars.

But recently admit it or not but its true Japan is helping the US with parts and electronics and this is bringing American cars back.

There is good and bad cars on both sides but,No one can deny that Japan has produced some great cars with longer lasting engines and parts ,and because of this they have took over in the Motorworld for many years.

The hard core American car fanatics will argue and shout about till they red in the face but it is true.

Myself due to my budget and having cheaper American cars and those not lasting and having to scarp or sell more often,So my last 5 cars have been Japanese as i can buy a car with high mileage and if looked after it will run for years.
Parts are more expensive but go wrong less often and with the net its easier to track down parts from all over the world easily.

Modern American cars are just as reliable as foreign cars. Some people cling to the ancient idea that American autos are of inferior quality. This is totally untrue. There's such competition in the market today that you can't get away with an inferior product anymore.

It's called perception and unfortunately Americans have it wrong! American cars are just as good as Japanese but 9 out of 10 fools will tell you they aren't. Look around you will find people listing problems with Japanese cars. They seem to do a great job of hiding it but it is out there if you look for it.

Depends on what you want. If you want hi performance (both will give you problems). If you are looking for an average butt hauler US is just as good.
