I'll always remember watching 49er games as a young kid. They brought a lot of excitement and joy to me when I was younger. Watching the 49ers as a kid was a huge part of my childhood much like cartoons and playing sports with friends were.

Sundays were always a lot of fun when the the family would get together and watch the 49ers play. Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Dwight Clark, Ronnie Lott, Roger Craig, John Taylor....The list goes on and on. Those were the good old days.

It was a lot of fun watching the 49ers win Superbowls. Don't get me wrong I loved that, but I guess the best part about it was how the city and the community would rally around the team. Being a born San Franciscan I can honestly say that Bill Walsh and the 49ers made me proud to be not only a fan but a native of a great city and community.

What are your favorite memories of Bill Walsh and the 49ers?

I grew up with the 49ers as being "the other team" in the Bay Area. The Raiders had won 2 SB in 4 years, the A's and Warriors both won championships in the 70's and the Giants were still playing interesting ball with Willie McCovey, Vida Blue, and Jack Clark.

The Niners had a nice little team with a high school type QB in Joe Montana but weren't really expected to be competitive. Then they started blowing away the NFC in 81 and at the time, the NFL hadn't seen a turnaround like this in a long time. Walsh was THE MAN, and without him, it never would have happened. There will never be another coach like him.

San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota, i'm shocked by using the two a sort of communities. Mike Singletary has accomplished nicely, and Brett hasn't thrown an interception yet. i'm curious how this interest will bypass. (For the checklist i'm hoping the 49ers win) (the main interesting for me however, eco-friendly Bay at St Louis Rams. I could desire to have faith that the Packers had an off day. that they are greater powerful than what they have accomplished. i want Week 3, I could desire to have faith that the Packers will make ameliorations. they have large gamers, i'm going to be overwhelmed in the event that they at the instant are not what i assumed they had be. this is in basic terms that they misplaced to the Bengals....) Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks. i'm curious if Cutler is week a million Jay or week 2 jay. Tennesee Titans vs manhattan Jets. ought to this is we've yet another large quarterback coming up top in the previous our eyes? that throughout itself is nicely worth watching. Plus how will Chris Johnson do after tearing up the sector final night? That grew to become into remarkable besides. the way that guy strikes on the sector is poetry in action. And The Panthers at Dallas. that's going to be exciting to work out how Romo responds after the difficult loss against the Giants.

I've got conflicting memories of Bill Walsh. He was the Offensive coordinator here in Cincy with the Bengals under Paul Brown. He and Brown a new level of excitement to football with the beginnings of the West Coast style of offense. It was always fun to watch his teams play.

Then he left and went on to SF. And then come the bad memories of him. His 49's beat the Bengals in two Superbowls.

But, as a man, he was great. As a coach he was great.

RIP Bill. You will be missed.
