No, your thoughts are just chemical reactions and are somewhat slower than the speed of light.

I never thought about it this way. You idea makes complete sense because we think an innumerable amount of thoughts everyday and we're thinking about things when we don't even know it!! Like you said, if someone says Paris, you think several things at once, Paris the city, Paris Hilton, etc... this is true with just about anything.

Good point.

OK. Nobody liked my humor so here goes:

During the thought process, neurons carrying electro-chemical impulses travel 290 mph across synapses. They are processed by interneurons in the brain and spinal cord.

Speeds cannot occur faster than this due to sensory gating. This prevents sensory overload. Any increase, called sensory flooding, would allow too much data to get through causing brain disorders. An example would be autism.

Tens of billions of messages travel as electro-chemical impulses every few seconds of every day. But never faster than 290 mph.

This is slower than the speed of light.

Ok, your thoughts are just electrical impulses in between neurons in your brain, which only travels at 200mph. Light travels around 186,000 miles per SECOND. Much faster that the speed of your thoughts.

Nuh-uh! Still pretty STUPID ! Why are you so hung-up on 'God' ? All your desperate attempts to prove he exists are just fallacies and then you get on to quoting some other idiot or such other pathetic retorts. Just get over it. And Starving yourself is NOT healthy, let alone while doing it 'spiritually'. P.S : If you theists really DID believe in the "goodness of fasting" , you wouldn't be eating fruits and drinking juice and make up some stupid reason about it not being "rice or water" . Face it , deep inside, while showing others you believe, you Theists have doubt in it yourself.

No. Actually electric stimulus through nerves travels slower than light passing through a vacuum.

No; actually they are quite slow -- neuron signals propagate at around the speed of sound. (No relation.) The brain can do a lot of processing not because it is fast but because it is massively parallel.

Nope........Bad News has been scientifically proven to travel 2.165X faster than Light, and Celebrity Gossip has been scientifically proven to travel 3.14X faster than Light.

Thoughts are significantly slower ( .0056X) than Light.
