First: check this grammar point...
Is Steven Hawkins theory acceptable?
Are Steven Hawkins theories acceptable?
See the difference? Proper English will carry you far.
I certainly feel that Mr. Hawkins is more intelligent than I am, and I pause to consider almost all of his Revelations. Some of them are way over my head.

they are acceptable, but certainly not final! His maths check out but his assumptions for maths purposes are not always the only ones that could be used, there are after all several variations on string and super string theory.
He has demonstrated that the universe of matter and energy could create its self in some conditions, but not proved that those circumstances ever existed. That's the joy of science, if the theory works use it until another one dose better

Acceptable to whom? Stephen Hawkings is one of the most brilliant men living today and I would imagine that very few people actually understand his theories. So how can we say whether they are "acceptable" or not? Please elaborate on what you mean. Acceptable to whom?

Yes. He is probably the most brilliant mind on the planet today, and when he speaks, it is wise to listen.

Don't know. Let's see what happens after (God forbids) he's gone.
I sense there is a certain amount of PC about him.
I don't find his views all that great, personally.
Brownowski's views died out with him.
