That was Keir Dullea, as Dave Bowman, in 2010: The Year We Make Contact; the last words Bowman spoke before entering the StarGate (not heard in 2001:A Space Odyssey)--I always get a rush hearing that line!

It's from 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's where Dave Bowman sees what awaits him within the Monolith. It was also one of the first lines heard in 2010: The Year We Make Contact.

Although, technically, I don't remember Bowman saying that in the original film, so it may just be from 2010.

It was in "2010: The year we made contact" but it was taken from a scene from "2001:A space odyssey"and retrofitted into "2010"
