I once knew a guy that was a proffesional dishwasher. I went by his house one evening and he was washing his own dishes and singing and happy. He loved to wash dishes. Have you ever actually enjoyed this?Not I.

I like washing dishes sometimes:
When it's cold out, it can feel good to put my hands in the warm water.
When I'm in the kitchen talking with friends or on the phone, I can get so distracted that the dishes get done without my realizing it.
I agree with you - it's pretty much of a grunt job - but I like clean dishes, and a clean sink, so I'm willing to pay the price.

Dish washing is a most interesting profession as well as being a fetish for some people. Some simply delight in washing fine china and sterling silver allowing time to make it shine and twinkle. The cut crystal is very special. But there is more to doing dishes than the finery. Eventually one must skillfully and with inner strength approach the true measure of a professional dishwasher, the ability to scour the pots and pans. It is here that the professional will shine in all his glory. With skill and knowledge of soaps, soaking methods and the use of various scouring apparatus. As competitors sigh and wipe their brows the professional will smile and toss his cap in the air as a sign of victory over all others. Yes, if there is anything on the face of this earth I could spend a full day doing it is scrubbing pots and pans.

This man has to be on some form of a "happy pill" because washing dishes has to be the most loathed activity. I hate it, but I do love my dishwasher for making it easier.

sometimes i actually do enjoy washing dishes. i have a dishwasher but i get in these moods were i want to wash them by hand. i thought i was the only one that liked it good to know there is at least one other person who does!

Ha, this is a good question! I actually DO like washing dishes. My husband always asks me why i don't use our dishwasher. I think it's easier to wash them by hand. You still have to wash food off and ORGANIZE the dishwasher to close properly....THAT seems like too much work. It's easier to wash, rinse and put in basket! HA HA! :)
It's also "me" time! I find it relaxing too!

No. Sometimes I'll see somebody washing dishes and think, "That actually looks fun." And then I'll go to wash dishes, then I think..."What the hell was I thinkin?" Cause I'm retarded. But no, I've never enjoyed it. That guy you're talkin about is KARAZAYYYY

Something about a good cooked meal and cleaning up after wards does feel good... Since I am carpenter by trade I always believe in finishing the job all the way through.. So when i cook I clean and after all that get the Brandy out and let the conversation begin....

I particularly like it. i would not say I fairly have lots relaxing washing the dishes that i might call it a activity, although this is taken under consideration one of kinfolk chores that i like the main... i like to pour detergent on the sponge, and notice the airborne dirt and dirt coming off... this is no longer a painful or too bothersome chore the two... you just to stand up next to the sink...

I have twice, worked as a dishwasher, (This might be a different situation than your friend but,) I'll make anything a study:) I did it as fast as possible; memorizing the places for everything became, uhhm a trial?
