what other foods can you feed a betta fish besides fish food

Tons and tons of stuff.. Bloodworms, brine shrimp, maggots, fairy shrimp, mosquito larvae, black worms tubifex worms, small flies and other bugs. Basically any grubs, worms or bugs small enough to fit in their mouths will work.

Yes all of the foods already listed in other answers are good but I wanted to add a good alternative pelleted food and that is Hikari brand micro wafers. They are smaller than betta pellet balls and my betta likes them so much more. I don't even feed mine "betta balls" as he seems to have no interest in them but he loves the micro wafers as well as bloodworms and daphnia.

Frozen or Live (mosquitoes larves, blood worms, daphinias, tubiflex worms).
