The end of organized religion. More people have been killed in the name of God than any other reason.

Edit - Oh Yeah, nobody is killed because of religion. Wait, did anyone remember the Inquistion? How about the spread of Islam (Change to islam or die)? How about the Crusades? Nobody died in any crusade, did they? How about the islamic terrorists? I am sure that they are doing that because the corner newsman told them to bomb the bank. How about the pro-lifers? They bomb the abortion clinic because they think the clinic is an eyesore, right?

I could go on and on but I think you get the picture.........

If only I could change one thing in the world, I would hope that there is no such thing as natural disaster. Natural disasters such as forest fires, Tsunami etc, has thrown many countries into chaos and in a state of turmoil. Many people have been affected as a result of it, especially people from the undeveloped countries. They themselves already have many pressing problems at hand. It would be difficult for them to deal with problems which arise as a result of natural disasters. Most of the time, millions and thousands of live stocks and crops were destroyed by one such happening when it is the only source of income for the people.

If only natural disasters do not happened, the undeveloped nations could sell their live stocks, crops and products to other countries and slowly trade their way out of poverty.

Hi Red. I would eliminate money. I believe this has been the foundation for most of mankind's ills and wrong doing. Wars are about land since the beginning of time. When man discovered oil and gold, he killed for that. Diamonds in Africa is a no brainer. People don't kill in the name of God, there is no where in the Bible God ask man to kill in his name and Jesus begged for the opposite...for us to love and take care of each other. I think without a World Banking System and living a barter type life, work for food, shelter, health care and some luxuries, would stop a lot of problems. Life's rewards would come as we better served the community and earned points. No system is perfect, but after Enron and Tyco, greed has always been our downfall. The war in Iraq has nothing to do with democracy, it is not getting cut off from the richest supply of Oil in the World. IMO.

I don`t know if this qualifies, but since you are asking philosophically, I guess it does......The thing I would change is me, to be able to go back in time to when I was a child, and still retain my memory, thus allowing my being able to change the course of history. I won`t take time to go into all the aspects it presents, but a person of conscience(or one unlike minded, for that matter) could affect today greatly. Myself, I would invest in stocks to become worlds wealthiest man, solely to help ease starvation. Money would give you power to put you in the right places at the right time! You could stop assinations, prepare for droughts and plagues in advance, creat medicines and make them available reasonably, prevent wars,etc.........Oh well, you asked what It would be if I could..........

Agape. Its unconditional love. The best love of all, a godly love. Which basically means I love you because God loves you. I may not know you, you may have hurt me in the past, but i love you. If we all posessed this kind of love the world would be a better place. Instead of turning the other cheek when someone is in trouble because we don't want to get involved, we would always have our doors open because it is Gods law.

Myself. Perhaps it is best to leave that alone too, and instead merely be what that is. I trust, any needed change will occur automatically as the consequence of any inquiry into that.

People not respecting their fellow man. This would solve so many problems, such as racism, intolerance and to some degree poverty, it would also help with greed as people would not just think about themselves, they would think about how their actions effect others.
