4 times in the back by a coward why such a dreary question? Its still fresh for many of us. maybe you should have asked also who and why did they and maybe you would have gotten better responses, i think the others probably think you came across cold, but you probably were not just keeping it simple.

John Lennon was shot 4 times in the back by Mark David Chapman on Dec. 8, 1980 just a few hours after asking Lennon for his autograph. Chapman is serving a life sentence at Attica Prison in New York. In Oct. 2004 he failed for the 3rd time to obtain his release. He admitted at his arrest that he'd heard "voices in his head telling him to kill Lennon."
