I believe that they are.
Republicans are totally honest. "I want to be rich, I don't want you or the government to stand in my way". I don't care if you prosper or if you starve as long as I have my bundle".
Democrats are dishonest. Just about the same as above, but played out under the guise of "it's for the children"!
If you go far enough left, you come around to the right.
I agree with not voting for either of them.

They are different in that they have somewhat different political philosophies... such as regarding abortion, gun control, immigration, taxes, things like that.
However, in the ways that many elected politicians become either wrapped up in the red tape of our huge bureaucracy or become corrupted by the power of their office, that's where the similarities begin.
I honestly think that the majority of democrats and republicans (and independents and PEOPLE) really just want what is best for their families and for our country. It's the definition of what is "best" and how to get there that people don't agree on, and remember: Power corrupts.
But I do agree that we should vote for the PERSON, not the party, and focus on who has the best plans and cares the most.

I believe the majority of the people in both parties are scumbags. However, there are a few people in each group who want honest change, but it is very difficult having to deal with biased media, corrupted party members, lobbyists, greedy corporations, and an ignorant public who want politicians to cater to their prejudices.
Sometimes I wonder why I even vote. Maybe it is because I am a glutton for punishment.

We always blame politicians but nearly NEVER hold ourselves accountable for electing them in the first place.
We need to look in the mirror to find the problem.
