Yep, that's typical of bettas, they do love those blood worms. Do be careful not to feed too much of the freeze dried typical though, that can constipate them. A few times a week is good and try to soak them in some tank water before you feed it to them :)

Blood worms are hands down the favorite food of all my fish (guppies, bettas, corydoras, etc.). I love it when the little guppy fry manage to snag a big one and swim around the tank with it sticking out of their mouth like a big cigar as they chew away at it. Even the corydoras get excited when it's bloodworm feeding day as they get to eat any that get missed and fall to the bottom of the tank. So, yeah, I'd say it's perfectly normal for your bettas to go crazy over bloodworms!

Funny thing...neither of mine eat and attack my blood worms :(( but that's kinda good because if they get used to them and you put in a lot a lot.they can explode :O.... it is usual that most bettas love blood worms because they are carnivorous and need meat and protein in their diet... hope this helps...

Its one of their natural meal when they eat including brine shrimp, daphnia and etc.

But freeze dried shouldnt be feed too much because of digestion problems.

Heres a site on what they like to eat:

Its completely better and healthier than feeding them flakes and pellets.

This is normal behavior for them. Mine does the same thing. They like to be predatory when they eat and have a sense of conquering their meal.
