i live in Geneva, NY (upstate), these spiders built a nest on the side of our house (which i thought was a wasps nest), they're furry, and really nasty looking. I need to know if they're poisonous to adults or infants.

Without a picture, I couldn't begin to guess.

What kind of spider? One I'd keep FAR, FAR away from. I hate the things.

They could be jumping spiders unless each of them has a web or they are all in one web. Jumping spiders from the family salticidae(sp?) are usually harmless. I catch them with my bare hands all the time. I think you have a temperate climate also, right? Most spiders in cooler climates are harmless because they have evolved that way.

It would help if we knew where you were. There are some nasty spiders in some areas but not in others.
