whats the star for and who gives them to you? what do you get for getting a star on your question?

Community members that find your questions interesting will star them. Once they do, their contacts will be notified that they have starred a question and they may look at it as well and answer your question. This will spark more interest and get you more answers. For instance, you are participating in Polls and Surveys. If you are taking a Poll or Survey and you need several answers, this will help you generate more answers. It is a "good" thing to receive stars. The more stars you receive, the more answers you are likely to receive. Although you don't get points, you do get more answers.
