Actually I don't have cable and use an antenna to watch local channels. All of them(NBC, CBS, ABC) are very fuzzy but FOX is the clearest and I've entertained myself and survived with this channel...lol... So FOX for me...

SOAPS, because everyday is a different story line, and more like real life stuff, so that way i can keep track of whats going on in society, while im tucked nicely away from all rubbish society is doing, and i get all that romance, comedy, thriller, action all in one, its great being cast away with my favoirite Y&R. soap opera. but there is one down fall, the weekends when it doesn't air, so what i do is, I rest for those 2 days, its too much for me to bare it all week, I do need my rest, and it gives me the courage to not want to be saved, i cant go back to a society like that, im happy here with the freedom and simply life,,,hehehehe.

I know the one channel I wouldn't want: The Food Network. I would be hungry all the time. But to answer your question I would pick the cartoon channel. I still like to laugh and being alone that might perk me up.
