Do not do this, it is too much. You can have terrible stomach cramps & bleeding problems. It can also cause clotting problems with your blood. Definitely nothing to mess with!

Since you're so young (and I mean no offense by that, simply that you're body isn't fully developed yet), it isn't good. Tell a parent and have them call the hospital for you. They will tell you if you need to come in or not. I hope it really was just your neck and not you just trying to to dull another sort of pain. Advil can kill you, if you take too much. I believe the maximum dosage on the bottle is 4 per day, for someone your age. Contact someone definitely, even if you're too scared to tell your parents. It could possibly be serious or you could be all right, just a tummy ache (though don't think that it's not serious if that's the only effect you're feeling). Find out from a medical professional IMMEDIATELY. Be brave.

Depending on your size and weight, taking up to 1000mg of ibuprofen can be safe, but you should really consult with a doctor or pharmacist. I'm over 6’5” and 200lbs and both my doctor and a nurse that I work with have told me that taking 800-1000mg for pain that is not resolved by lower doses is safe, but I'm bigger than most people.
If the recommended dosage of ibuprofen is not giving you the pain relief you need, you might try combining 400mg ibuprofen with 1000mg acetaminophen (Tylenol). These pain killers work by different mechanisms and can compliment each other. You can also alternate, i.e. take 400mg ibuprofen and then 1000mg acetaminophen in a couple of hours if you still experience pain. 200mg naproxen sodium (Aleve) is also a lot stronger than ibuprofen.
Stomach bleeds and ulcers are both common side effects from taking large amounts of ibuprofen, or taking it frequently. You can also build up a tolerance if you're taking a lot on a regular basis and the normal dosage will be less effective.
Always consult a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist with drug questions and don't just trust Yahoo! Answers.

That is 1200 mg of ibuprofen at a time. Not a great idea. You are taking the absolute maximum allowed if it were prescribed by a doctor. Most physicians prescribe a much lower dose.
Even if being taken on the advice of a physician, this high of a dose can: harm your stomach, literally eat a hole in your stomach; You could experience a spontaneous, out of the blue rupture of your stomach lining and bleed to death; dangerously elevate your blood pressure; damage your liver by altering your liver enzymes (not a good thing at all.)
If the recommended dose of 400mg, taken every 4-6 hrs, is not providing sufficient pain relief, talk to your doctor. There are other options that will not endanger your health.

Prescription ibuprofin is 800mg. You are taking so much more than that. If it's a single time, it probably won't do anything to you. But if you are going to continue to use it that way, I'd get clearance from a doctor if I were you.
FYI... sometimes taking pain killers like ibuprofin or acetominophine can actually cause more pain than if you hadn't taken it to begin with. It's an addiction sort of thing. Your body becomes used to the drug so if there's something wrong, your body reacts with more pain to tell you there's something wrong. This is something I learned from my chiropractor and my neurologist when treating my migraines.

The maximum dose of ibuprofen is 3200 mg a day to be taken in 4 equal doses. Taking 1200 mg at once could cause severe stomach upset and gastric bleeding. It may not do anything to you or produce severe problems. It is not worth the chance.

why would you need that much Advil. If you take that much you have to watch for bleeding, ( if you hurt yourself), and liver functions. If you have that much pain you need to see a health care Professional.

it's not healthy... it may not hurt if you do it once or so but over time it can cause liver damage. Why would you do that anyway? I mean, would your pain not go away?
