I would suggest doing a search for online Grand Prix clubs or forums and ask some of the members. They will tell you everything you need to know.

first of all, there is not room here to tell you everyhting I love about my Grand Prixs, we have a 96 GTP and 04 GTP, they are both fast, reliable, fun to drive cars. If you are looking for something specific, try

www.clubgp.com

there is more info there than you could go through in a lifetime. Now, the 06-07 GXP has a V8 and is even faster than the 04-05 GTP, which would be really nice. However, the 07 is the last model year, pontiac is not going to make them anymore :-( it is being replaced with the G8, you can check that out on the clubgp forum or at pontiac.com in my opinion, it is the grand prix, with better wheels, more class, and more speed...

The best advice I can give you based on lifetime of experience is DON'T. Take a look at something like a Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru. The Grand Prix depreciates very fast, is an gas hog, technology is so old school.

I am driving a BMW and I brought my car in for service last week, so I got a free loan car which is Grand Prix 2008. It is drinking gas it cost me about $30 for 3 days only approximatively 140miles. If you don't care about gas go for it but if you do think again.
