The first answer pretty much explains it. Why do you have such trouble understanding why a lesbian would be attracted to women? I'm a lesbian myself, and I don't "go crazy" when I go to the mall but I am very attracted to some women. Your friend is just girl-crazy like some girls are guy-crazy. Lesbians aren't any more attracted to women than women are to men... in general.
To explain why I am attracted to women... I just am. I can try to explain it, I can say that women are beautiful and they have luscious curves... but why does that spark my interest? It just does, and it always has.

Well, that has just as much variety as if you asked a guy. Sure, plenty of guys would just say "boobs", but that's the social standard talking. That's not really what does it for most of them, though it can be a plus.
Personally, I'm a confessed girly-girl, and I go for girly-girls! I'm actually not attracted to large breasts or any of that, though I appreciate beauty. I could never be one of those butch girls. But I digress...
I think it's generally safe to say that women in general are attracted to members of their preferred sex for similar reasons, meaning that said member meets whatever physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual criteria the woman finds attractive.

Guys have more balls than a female stud (lesbain that acts like a boy) so their ego holds them back from the way he may feel for a girl. But us girls, no we go crazy. Although you act like a guy, your still emotional jus like the rest of the female race. Its the way a woman looks that drives a lesbian crazy. She may have assets that the lesbian is looking for.

hey im straight and i can't figure out why the hell this one girl in my school likes girls too.
It feels weird when your around her.One time she asked me to come over to her house from some fun.I didnt like the sound of that.She's creepy.Ew.So yeah, IDK.It's probably kinda like lesbians are crazy for girls as much as straight girls are crazy for cute guys.I really don't know.Just my best guess!
