hey i'm going tosouth padre i hope i dont see any sharks!!

I have been there many, many times. I have never seen a shark or heard of any. Of course there must be sharks because it is the ocean, however they are rare. There is something about the currents or water that does not attract them. They are mostly on PADRE Island (Mustang Island) not the south. You must be more careful of the jellyfish. Don't step on one on the sand.
After many trips to SPI, we have had no problems at all and you can feel very safe there. Never an injury or close call.

No, silly. Sharks can't live on an island.
There would be sharks in the Gulf right off South Padre Island.
