depends on the application (you can't use a Trawler to water ski), I'm on the west end bays of Long Island, shallow, sand bars, mud, creeks that are narrow. The BEST boat for my application (fishing, touring, etc) is a 15 foot "Boston Whaler", Low draft, fast, good on fuel with a 50 H.P engine, and is "UNSINKABLE", they are expensive until you go to sell it, then watch the bucks come BACK (not many boat's do that).

There is no "best boat" only a boat that suits the purpose for each individual that uses it.
A boat is like a wife, you treat it with respect, it has purpose and it will only suit you, the person that lives with it. You have to know your boat, to be out fifteen miles from shore, you'd better know every inch of that boat.
Maybe that's why they're called "she" because they're beautiful, fickle and very sensitive.

That my friend is merely a matter of opinion. Example:::;;
The best boat made happens to be a Maxum 2500 SCR hooked to my truck, ready to be launched at a moments notice. We boat owners DO NOT care except what we own currently and have paid for or paying on. Mine is mine not the bank or anyone else's. It also depends what purpose it is intended for as to what boat is best.

cobalt boats are considered the best boat because they are carefully hand made, use Kevlar hulls. when looking for the best, then you must expect the highest price boats and cobalt is that for boats ranging from 18 ft- 38 ft.

There is no answer on this direct question.
It depends on purpose.
Imho:
Among sport fisherman - Boston Whaler
Luxury yachts - Ferretti or Azimut
Speedboats - Cigarette
Runabous - Bayliner
etc

No such thing as a best boat. "Best" will depend on your criteria, finances, and use.
