The only way I would buy anything Jose Canseco wrote is if there was a worldwide shortage of toilet paper. . . .

No, I will not buy it. I wasted my money when I bought his first book, and even though he was proven right when he said some guys did steroids, the book is a piece of garbage.

For example, Jose played for the Yankees the last two months of the 2000 season, and batted in the World Series. But in his book he mentions "Game Six". One problem. There was no "Game Six" in 2000. The Yankees won in five.

I don't mean to be hypocritical, but I think a lot of players have used steroids, but not A-Rod. Also, if Jose was going to accuse A-Rod of taking steroids, why not say it in the first book? If it was that important, wouldn't Canseco have written about it in "Juiced" when he accused McGwire, Palmeiro, and Ivan Rodriguez of taking steroids?

Jose Canseco has had some serious legal and tax problems. He is aware that his book made him relevant, and that he helped to bring the steroid problem to the forefront. What better way to make money then to write another book. Even Joe Torre, the classiest buy in baseball said "Obviously Jose needs the money". It's sad that Canseco is going this route. I'm not going to be a sucker and buy another book by Canseco.

Well, it will all come out on ESPN and sports columns so why waste your money. People used his last book to validate opinions they had about guys like McGwire and others. We don't know what is going to be in this next book but if he did say something about A-Rod that is bad then these same people who said, "see Canseco said it" when referring to past players will run around and call him a liar. "Why wasn't he a liar the first time"! That will be my response. What's good to prove us correct seems to be bad if it disproves another theory or something we don't want to believe.

You know, I might. Because if I don't read the book, then I have no place to judge. There's no telling what he'll write about, and before someone is biased about anything, you gotta figure out where the other person is coming from. It might be interesting to find out what he's got to say.

Of course I don't want that juicer to have my money. I'm going to rent the book from the library because I want to see how full of bs it is. I think I just might rent his other book too to see how full of bs that is.

No doubt a lot of people will purchase the book but I won't be one of them. I am just not certain how truthful it is going to be and I don't want to be left trying to sort it all out.

The question is, "did anyone buy his other book?". That's a big negative.
