Cubs needs?
Teixeira? - Cubs have D. Lee
Loshe? - Loshe sucks
Castillo? - Derosa, theriot, fontenot
Hunter? - Cubs have too many outfielders as it is.
Bullpen is fine. They finally figured out how to close a game and Wood is coming back.
Starting Pitching - Cubs have the 3rd best pitching staff in the majors.
Still don't see why they made the trade for kendall. He used to be good back in his Pirate days, not so much anymore.
The Cubs have a great balance of veteran and young players. Brewers are too young and can't win on the road. Cubs will win the central and have a chance at making it to the world series with the team they are putting on the field today.

And Michael Young Rangers

The Cubs need to jump all over the best starting pitcher they can find. I believe they are one pitcher away from getting to the playoffs and doing some damage once they are there. The problem is going to be finding that pitcher.

There are plenty of guys on the phone calling to get better for the playoffs. The Cubs are not one of them. They will do everything in their power to fail, again. Sorry Cubs fans.

I think they will acquire Joe Kennedy or Matt Thornton. And there's still an off chance that they get Gerald Laird.
