You should report it to a responsible adult - the person's parent, a teacher, or the police. But this is only a crime if they are having sex - simply going out together is morally inappropriate, but not a criminal offence.

Hi elementz3521,
This is a bit of the mess..first of all ..and I am not trying to be rude or mean..but this twenty-two year old has some issues...there is a couple of reasons why someone this age would stay away from a girl that is your friends age..the main deterrent would be the law..most twenty some year old guys do not want to take a chance on getting to spend time with a cell mate named Bubba than be branded a sex offender for life....the other reason most 22 year olds would find your friend a bit young emotionally,mentally..etc... I mean no offence by this....there is a seven year difference in their ages.. that is a pretty big gap....you are right to be concerned for your friend.. but really there is not a whole lot that you can do...you can talk to her and let her know you think this guy could be bad news...if you say something about a guy this age being attracted to her as a bad thing..she could take it the wrong way and feel insulted..so,you don't want to take this approach.... if you could get a chance to meet with this guy alone for a minute or two...you might play it cool..and suggest how brave you think he is by taking a chance of dating someone so young..and that you would never want to take a chance of sitting in a jail cell ,with god only knows what, than be branded a sex offender for life..or something like this...it might make him think about his decision... if this isn't possible... just keep talking to your friend and caution her..let her know how worried you are....also, if her parents are unaware of this..if there would be a way to slip this information to them anonymously ..so that your friend wouldn't blame you..this might be the way to go..they could put an end to it pretty quick.....but if they are aware and accepting .. again there is not much you can do ..just continue to be her friend......
I hope everything turns out ok..and I wish you the best of luck...

Let me get this right? Your friend is the younger person that you are concerned about right?
I would put the tough love rule into effect immediately!
The older person should know better, and what ever happens, it is going to effect this, (child, in my eyes) beyond repair.
I would get a hold of the authorities no matter what your friend wants, because I am not sure where you are from, but I think 15 is considered a minor. I know my daughter would be and my husband would make damn sure that this 22 year old wouldn't come around ever again.

They can go out. If the 22 year old sleeps with the 15 year old, it's illegal. Report it to the police.

You should tell your parents what is going on, and all the details you know. They will help you make the right choice, which should be either telling her parents or the police.

Tell your friend that a relationship like that is illegal and they both need to really find someone closer to their own age...and if that doesn't work, parents.

What state you are in determines if theres anything illegal. What type of relationship is it? And do her parents know?
