All things considered, the inital reasons for our involvment in the middle east being that they /had/ WMD and that saddam /ties/ with Al-Quieda, both being proved bunk; The UN not approving that our involvment is in direct violations to the UN charter.

war crime- noun
Usually, war crimes. crimes committed against an enemy, prisoners of war, or subjects in wartime that violate international agreements or, as in the case of genocide, are offenses against humanity.
How do you feel about a country that is ran by war criminals, and how would it affect us in the future? Will other countries be less likely to help us? Should we expect more 9-11s?

War Crimes -- as defined by US law (see 18 USC 2441) include violating the Geneva Conventions. Which the US Supreme Court has twice ruled the Bush regime as done.

I think that having a serial felon as our chief executive destroys any claim that we have as a nation to be acting under color of legal authority.

If our own govt is violating our own federal laws, then we have no justification for attacking anyone for merely violating non-binding resolutions. And the longer we continue violating our own laws, the less credible we become to other countries.

Given our own level of hypocrisy, is it really any wonder that so much of the world hates us?

Are you serious? Really?
Saddam did have WMDs - he used them on his own citizens - before the last UN inspection team left Iraq, they had located and destroyed long range missiles, chemical war heads, chemical arsenals and a nuclear program far in advance of anything they had anticipated. Even Scott Ritter - (chief weapons inspector in Iraq for 7 years) in a press release extremely critical of the United States, admitted that even though they had succeeded in destroying laboratories and production equipment, he could NOT verify that all of Saddam's chemical arsenals had been eliminated - including VX nerve agent.
Given his history of non-compliance with the UN resolutions and his prior history of using these weapons, and following the events of 9/11 - the President and the Congress made a decision based on the evidence available. A decision that was based on the possibility of any arsenals Saddam might still posses being funneled into the hands of terrorists. A decision which has been criticized only with the aid of hindsight - and hindsight, unfortunately, isn't available when the tough decisions are made.
As far as terror attacks - that is exactly what our policies of inaction and no effective response in the past to these attacks got us - more of the same.

What makes you say that the US is run by war criminals? Realize that this is a legal term. It's not subjective and to be used merely because you don't agree with the way the war is being run.
So, please share--what exact acts would be considered war crimes, who were the persons who committed these acts, and when.
If you can explain these things, I'd be able to answer your question. But at this point, I find no specific evidence that the people running our country are war criminals.
Don't argue by assertion--it's lazy and unconvincing...

Not good but it's a risk we take with a government such as ours. Anyone can be elected and has. It's all about money.
Most Americans are too busy to be that concerned about politics because I'm confident that things would be different if more people were truly informed.

It makes me sad....very sad.

Lawlessness in the government means we are not free anymore. Read "The best democracy money can buy" (Palast) and see the connection between Pat Robertson and the Bush Dynasty.... it's been going on for generations. The Christian Coalition getting into bed with GOP was planned a long time ago.

Hang on to your A $ $, it's going to be a rough ride.

I don't expect another 9-11 because they have achieved all they wanted to achieve already. Mission accomplished, as far as getting the price of oil up from $20 to $50 and up to $80/barrell. However, those uncooperative Iraquis just don't want to "share" their oil with the US Oil companies.... can you believe they wouldn't want to give 80% of their oil to Exxon, Chevron and BP????
