The entire day I spent in my house, windows closed. Not once did a mosquito bother me. Until I went to bed! Then she attacked!
How does she find me every night?

Why doesn't she go to the living room and hang out there?

It seems she is so small she should have to spend all night in the living room combing that room for an ear to buzz and feet to sting!

If it came out when the lights were on, it would get squished ... so it looks for body heat when the lights go out. During the day,it will find a dark place like the folds of curtains or under the bed.

(The best alarm clock i ever had buzzed like a mosquito ... I couldn't sleep through it ... unfortunately, I broke it within a few weeks ... I swatted it too many times)

Mosquitoes are attracted by carbon dioxide. At night, when you sleep you are emitting levels of carbon dioxide that may be slighty higher and thus easier to recognize by your insect assailant. The bugs have a natural repugnance for vinegar and that is as natural a deterrent as the "DEET" that you can buy at the store. If you burn candles, these emit carbon dioxide and you will definitely become a mosquito magnet.

They zero in on carbon dioxide, heat, and skin color the darker the better. Mosquitoes are only active for two hours a day. The reason you see mosquitoes for more than two hours a day is each mosquito species covers a different two hours.

I can't wait to find the little sucker and send her on her way. What I hate the most about this is the buzzing in my ear and being unable to find the bug!!! Look around the light before you go to bed and look hard for it...get it!!!

I wish I knew, if there is one within a 20 mile radius, it will find me. Just got an e-mail though that said that bounce fabric softener sheets will repel them, try putting one or two on your headboard or foot board.
