The easiest way to do this, if your DSL modem uses a ethernet cable to connect to your computer, is to purchase a router and connect you broadband modem to the router and then connect your two computers to the router using ethernet cables.

If your modem uses USB to connect to your computer you need to connect computer #1 and Computer #2 together using a Ethernet cable and enable ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on your computer that already has ethernet. You will also need to manually configure your two IP addresses and subnets on your computersm were the router will handle that automatically......

Without knowing more about your PCs (assuming they're WinXP?), and your network connections, there are two ways you can get more than one computer to share an Internet connection:
1. Buy a router/gateway (either wired, or wireless+wired), whose reason for existence is to do exactly what you're trying to accomplish; your PCs will connect to it, it will connect to your DSL modem, and everyone will have Internet access.

2. WinXP has Internet Connection Sharing, which enables a single computer that has a direct connection to the Internet (no router) to share that connection with another PC connected to it. BUT: it requires that the PC hosting the ICS service have two network adapters installed; only one?: no good. To run the ICS setup, go to: Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network Setup Wizard.
This option is not as easy as it sounds though; you can have firewall issues, you can't use it with a static system IP address configuration. Also, it can involve things like bridging connections and dealing with two adapters, etc, which, if you're not familiar with networking, can be confusing. But give it a shot.

if you have a router which means a little box with lights
that gives internet to your comptuer...and have 3 or 4 more conections
then you just have to plug in your other computer to the same modem
if not
you cant use a normal modem to two computers
you cant use dial up on two computers
you can only if you know a lot about it and put them in red
i hope you find this useful :]
