my cousin wants to name his kid this! it personally think he is crazy!

It's a cute name. I had a dog named Pepper once. I wouldn't name a kid Pepper though.
(just think of the Dr. Pepper jokes. I'm a pepper, he's a pepper, she's a pepper, wouldn't you like to be a pepper too)

it personally reminds me to much of two things... one being that old cartoon, "pepper ann" and two being... pepper. Tell him that i think he should follow his heart. Even if some people dont like it, if he thinks it fits, it probibly will. If you ask me its the parents choice, and the worst thing that could happen would be that he was pressured into picking a name that wasnt right, didnt fit. tell him to find that missing puzzle piece (the right one!) and go for it! Congrats on the baby!

Blah, no. That's one of those names where you'll hear it on announcements in school or something, and even if you don't know the kid, it'll be like "Wtf? whose name is "pepper"? haha. It kind of makes your cousin sound irresponsible that they would name a defenseless human that.
i know someone whose dog is named pepper though.

I personally would not use it, but I have heard worse.
I actually knew a boy named Pepper in my childhood.

My mom's dog is named pepper... he has black and white spots. Will this child have black and white spots as well? He or she is going to be taunted a lot.
