A year and a half ago my heart was wrenched out of me
I guess it was not meant to be
My heart was roasted well on the fire
But I am not ready to expire.
You see my prayers go out to her and it has lightened the heartbreak load
If I did not forgive I might explode
But anger does not solve my problems in life
Who knows she might not have made me a good wife
They say your heart is set on fire when you are in love
I believe it is also because of God above
You see love has to be nourished
If it is ever going to flourish.
If left starved and abandoned, it will soon die
And all that is left is to cry.

I am confused at the phrasing of your question.
If you are asking if I have been in love so much that it feels my heart is on fire, the answer is "YES". I am currently in love and that will never stop this time. She just means to much to me.

It seems like you are asking if love has ever "raked you over the coals" so to speak? For me, it happened a lot. I got burned really bad back in High School. It made me not wanna trust a lot of guys, but then this one guy stepped up and showed me it is ok to open up and love again. Thanks to him (you know you who you are) I was able to love again and open up to him and others.
