yea they aleays say that but i don't think it is true. Money buys everything: opportunities, education, and if money doesn't buy happiness why do people always have happy and fun vacations (where they spend lots of $)
People who are not happy with their body have plastic surgery ($$$) and become happy with it
People who are not happy with their social life can buy a membership at a country club ($$$) and become happy
etc.
People who are sick need to go to the hospital to become happy and healthy but that cost a lot of $$$$
My goals in life are very similar to yours and I really struggle making my tuition paments and have to save for a year or two before i can travel to Japan....

It is harder for a rich person to enter into Heaven, why then does everyone desire to be rich.
To answer your last question:
>>>But I am just wondering, since money allows for more opportunities, do you think wealthy individuals are more inclined to be happy and live fulfilling lives? <<<
i would have to answer " YES " while they live here they will live fulfilling lives, yet in eternity they will live in Hell. ( not all, but most )
Read Luke Chapter 16 about the beggar, and the rich man, the rich man lived happy and a fulfilling life, while the beggar lived a horrible and painful life. Yet the rich man went to Hell and the beggar to Heaven.
How we live in this life, is irrelevent, How we are walking in this life, is what is relevent. Are you walking the walk of Christ? Are you a doer of the Word or a hearer only? Are you an obedient servant of Jesus Christ or do you say you are a servant yet you obey satan all the time?
given the choice, i would choose to be lazarus any day of the week, then to choose to have lots of money and make it harder for me to enter into Heaven, because i have much.

I think that money can buy happiness temporarily. Eventually, all the things that can be purchased gets old. The important things in life, true friends, love, health, accepting yourself, etc, cannot be bought at any price.

It's like the Fox and the Grapes in Aesop's Fables. The fox jumps up to try to get at the grapes but in the end he can't grab any so the fox concludes that the grapes were sour anyway.
The only people who say money doesn't buy happiness doesn't have the money.

You can't BUY a feeling, so if your rich and your sad, you can't buy the happiness. If your not the richest person in the world, and you do nice things for people, your well liked, and you don't mind that, than you will get along much better.

Yes money brings you only problems. money can get you physical comforts which in long run you will feel boring and even irritating. real happiness is helping others and doing work for the protection of nature.

Money can't buy happiness? I challenge a rich person to give me millions and afterwards I will let you know how it all went.

Give me a million and let me see how much happiness I could buy. I would love to test that theory.

i have some money, i inherited it,.....it is a good size chunk of money,.....i always thought it would be great,.....there is more to money then you can imagine,.....people are always asking me for a loan,.....we are talking like a thousand here five thousand there, and it goes on,.....you tell them no, and they act like you are some kind of @$$,.....the money is good to have, but all the time you have to watch out for people who want what you have,.....even when it comes to new friends or girl friends, you just don't know do they want the money, or do they like you for you?,.....
