Right now for me it would be Chrissie Hynde and Amy Winehouse ( she may be new on the scene, but she's BAD!) (In a good way)

Pink is calculated (albeit talented). Lily Allen is simply tiny. Amy Winehouse is a poser.
That leaves Chrissie Hynde and Joan "If You Don't F**k Me I'll F**k You" Jett.... They're both the real thing. I saw Chrissie at my hotel in Portland, OR (about 10 years ago)... she was waiting for a limo but was talking with her crew (much younger than she) about the clubbing she was doing the night before, while her crew were whining about how they couldn't keep up with her. Keep in mind, she was already long past peak popularity (so she was "old").
But as much as I love Chrissie and dislike Joan Jett's music, I think Joan is even more hardcore.

well u cant just throw joan jett in the mix cuz if it werent for her we wouldnt haveall the other women. but i would have to say for modern day it''d have to be pink! she is the best!
